1. Information We Collect

When you use Sky Explorer, we may collect the following limited information:

• Location data (optional): Used only when you explicitly tap "Use My Location". We request coarse location permission and do not store your coordinates. Location is used solely to fetch local weather data for that session.
• City name / search queries: The city you search for is stored locally on your device (via PlayerPrefs) so the app remembers your last location on re-open. This data never leaves your device.
• Cached weather data: The most recent weather API response is stored locally on your device for offline access. This data is weather information, not personal information.
• Device information (non-personal): Anonymous technical data such as OS version and device type may be collected by third-party SDKs (e.g. AdMob) under their own privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

The limited data we access is used exclusively to:

• Provide accurate, location-relevant weather forecasts
• Load your last searched city instantly on re-open
• Cache weather data for offline and low-connectivity use
• Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
• Display contextually relevant advertisements (see Section 5)

4. Third-Party Services

Sky Explorer uses the following trusted third-party services, each operating under their own privacy policies:

• OpenWeather API — Provides real-time weather data. City name or coordinates are sent to their API. See OpenWeather Privacy Policy.
• ipapi.co — Used as a lightweight fallback to detect your approximate city via IP address when GPS is unavailable. No personal data is stored. See ipapi.co Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — Serves advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data under Google's privacy framework. See Google Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising

The free version of Sky Explorer displays interstitial advertisements via Google AdMob. These ads help fund ongoing development. Premium users can remove ads via in-app purchase.

We do not control the content of advertisements served by AdMob, nor do we pass any personally identifiable information to AdMob. Ad targeting, if any, is governed entirely by Google's advertising policies.

This website also displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. You can manage personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required by law, consent is requested through a consent banner.

6. Data Security

All weather data is fetched over HTTPS. Locally cached data is stored in Android's standard application storage, which is sandboxed and inaccessible to other apps. We do not transmit cached data to any server.

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to keep your device OS updated.

7. Children's Privacy

Premiumstar Sky Explorer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no personal data profile to access, export, or delete. You may:

• Clear app data at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Sky Explorer → Clear Data
• Revoke location permission at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Sky Explorer → Permissions
• Opt out of personalised ads via your device's Google account settings

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in our app, legal requirements, or third-party services. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
